As a father of two young children and a former school governor, I am serious about improving Island education. That's why I introduced fellow primary school parents to the Education Secretary Gillian Keegan MP so they could raise their concerns direct with Government. I am working with colleagues to protect good local schools from forced closure by the Council. In my role as a volunteer coordinator for a national school reading charity I have helped place over 70 volunteers in our Island primary schools to read with children and tackle low literacy rates.
