SEND education was highlighted on BBC Politics Live today, as Joe Robertson MP demonstrated how the system needs better support nationally and on the Island.
Mr Robertson said, "The Isle of Wight Council may be under pressure but it must adhere to its statutory obligations, in particular the 20-week deadline for decisions. Furthermore, I am worried that too many families are being bogged down in the tribunal leading to unnecessary distress and harmful delays to the support that children need.
I welcome the Council's improvement plan but we need to see real improvements and fast, not just a plan."
