Efforts to tackle drink spiking were highlighted during a recent meeting between Joe Robertson MP and BevGardien, a sustainable anti-spiking drinks topper brand already being used in bars and universities across the UK.
BevGardien’s tamper-evident locking tab and distinctive WWF-branded design offer a practical, on-the-ground solution to help people protect themselves while socialising, alongside wider efforts to address spiking through the law.
Mr Robertson said, “It was great to meet with BevGardien and see how innovative, practical solutions are already helping to keep people safe. Tackling spiking requires both appropriate legal powers and real-world measures that can support people right now. My amendment on reckless spiking has now moved on to the House of Lords, and it’s clear that legislation must go hand-in-hand with preventative solutions like this.”
