On Sandown Pier, Joe Robertson MP met it's directors, Wayne and Ellery Peak.
A core discussion topic was the impact that the proposed ‘Machine Games Duty’ Tax will have on attractions like Sandown Pier.
Mr Robertson said, "Good to meet with Wayne and Ellery at a rather blustery Sandown Pier. The Machine Games Duty is meant to target big harmful gambling, not an independent family business with 20p slot machines. At a time when tourism needs our support, an additional tax will affect jobs, mean higher costs to visitors and threaten seaside resorts."
