Joe Robertson MP recently visited the Veterans Lounge in Ryde, providing an opportunity to see firsthand the vital support being offered to the Island’s veteran community.
The Veterans Lounge provides a welcoming and supportive environment for ex-service personnel, offering a safe space to meet, share experiences, and access help when needed. Mr Robertson had the privilege of meeting with members of the team and heard about other important veterans' initiatives across the Island, including the Veterans Hotel on the Ryde Esplanade, which supports Islanders with accommodation issues and provides respite breaks.
Joe Robertson MP said, “It was a pleasure to visit the Veterans Lounge in Ryde recently and meet Dale, Mo, and the other members of the team and some of the veterans. It was great to hear about the work that they do and how they are such a part of the Ryde community.”
