Ahead of World Parkinson’s Day, Joe Robertson MP met with representatives from the local Parkinson’s UK group to highlight the importance of early diagnosis and support.
During the meeting, Alan and Sally shared insights into the realities of living with Parkinson’s and the vital role that community groups play in providing guidance and assistance. With more than 153,000 people in the UK affected by the condition, the discussion focused on the need for increased awareness, timely diagnosis, and strengthened support systems for patients and their families.
Joe Robertson MP said, “World Parkinson’s Day is an important opportunity to raise awareness of a condition that affects so many people across the UK. I met with Alan and Sally from our local Parkinson's UK group ahead of World Parkinson's Day to raise awareness with the Government and public and I am pleased to be playing a part in that."
