"Solving social care is the biggest issue of our times. When the NHS was set up, living with long term frailty and diseases like dementia were not part of the health concerns of a mid 20th century society. Living with long term conditions is a major issue for today's ageing population and far too many people are facing a health lottery where the NHS won't provide. The financial pressure falls on local authorities and people themselves. I am pleased to be quoted in this excellent piece."
