Joe Robertson, recently visited St Catherine's School in Ventnor to engage with staff and students and to gain first-hand insight into the valuable work being done at the school.
During the visit, Joe met with Sarah Thompson, Head Teacher, and Graham Pengelly, Chair of Trustees, to discuss the vital role that special schools like St Catherine's play in the education system. Joe Robertson also had the opportunity to meet with students over lunch. He was impressed by the positive feedback from the students, who spoke highly of their experiences at St Catherine’s, particularly highlighting how the school fosters an environment where they feel included, listened to, and valued.
Joe concluded his visit by reaffirming his commitment to advocating for continued support for special schools, ensuring that every child has access to the education they deserve.
