Joe Robertson MP recently visited The Way Forward, a programme organised by Island charity Osel Enterprises, to see the important work they do in providing training and employment for people with physical and learning disabilities, autism and mental health conditions living on the island.
The visit coincides with The Way Forward’s recent completion of a new respite bungalow which gives families a well-earned break in a safe and supportive setting.
Mr Robertson said, “I recently spent time at The Way Forward, where more than 90 adults with learning and physical disabilities and autism take part in education, social and creative sessions – from one-to-one support in the community to drama rehearsals for their shows at Medina Theatre. It’s inspiring to see how these opportunities build confidence, friendships and independence – all made possible by Osel with the support of our community.”
